French President Macron posts video thanking Vietnam

French President Macron posted a video on his personal Facebook with the caption "Thank you very much" after concluding his state visit to Vietnam.

On the afternoon of May 27, President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte left Hanoi , successfully concluding their state visit to Vietnam from May 25 to 27.

That same evening, President Macron posted a video on his personal Facebook page recording highlights of his visit to Vietnam with the caption "Thank you very much!" in both Vietnamese and French.

The video highlights Mr. Macron's meetings with senior Vietnamese leaders. President Macron and his wife also visited and laid wreaths at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Street (Ba Dinh, Hanoi).

The French leader also participated in activities to learn about Vietnamese culture such as visiting the Temple of Literature and enjoying Hue royal court music.

In addition to the official activities during the visit, the video also recorded Mr. Macron and his wife Brigitte being warmly welcomed by the people of Hanoi while visiting Hanoi's Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake area,... The French President and his wife waved to the people and chatted in a friendly manner.

Vietnam is the first destination within the framework of French President Macron's strategic visit to Southeast Asia. On this occasion, the two countries issued a Joint Statement on the results of the visit, affirming their desire to deepen the trustworthy partnership, to enhance the independence, autonomy and development of each side; maintain and enhance cooperation in the fields of health, education, culture and expand into new areas of cooperation such as infrastructure, urban transport, aerospace, new energy, historical memories, etc.
