According to CNBC, US President Donald Trump announced on July 14 that he would impose "secondary" tariffs of up to 100% on Russia's trading partners if President Vladimir Putin does not agree to an agreement to end the conflict in Ukraine within 50 days.
"We are very unhappy with them (Russia) and we will impose very strong tariffs (about 100%) on Russia's trading partners if we do not reach an agreement within 50 days," President Trump said during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the White House.

President Trump added that he was “disappointed” with President Putin because he thought they could have reached a deal months ago.
"If (Russia-Ukraine) do not reach a ceasefire agreement by September, we will apply secondary tariffs," the White House boss emphasized.
President Trump’s secondary tariffs would apply to countries and entities that buy Russian exports. However, Mr. Trump did not specify which products would be subject to the secondary tariffs.
It is known that this is not the first time that President Trump has threatened to impose “secondary tariffs” on Russia because of the ongoing war with Ukraine.

President Trump also announced that the US would send billions of dollars worth of military equipment, made by US companies and paid for by European countries, to NATO allies for delivery to Ukraine.
