Speaking during a visit to Ukraine on April 29, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that some member countries of the military alliance have failed to fulfill their military aid commitments to Kiev in recent months, stressing that this situation will change in the coming time.
This is the third visit to Ukraine by the NATO Secretary General since the Russia-Ukraine conflict broke out.

Speaking after talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said it had taken the US six months to agree on an aid package for Ukraine, while European allies had yet to deliver the promised ammunition. Mr. Jens Stoltenberg affirmed that things would change.
"The Ukrainian army has been under fire for months and has had to use ammunition sparingly. But it is not too late to help Ukraine win. NATO needs to urgently fulfill its promise and turn its commitment into aid shipments of weapons and ammunition," said Mr. Stoltenberg.
Earlier, the US Congress approved an aid package for Ukraine worth more than $60 billion. In addition, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak made a record high commitment to Ukraine. Germany agreed to provide new Patriot air defense systems. The Netherlands increased aid to Ukraine.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg confirmed that new commitments would be made soon: "Other allies are looking at what more can be done. I expect to have new announcements soon."
At a press conference, President Zelensky called on allies to "speed up the process of delivering aid" to the Ukrainian military. He expressed concern that "so far there have been no positive signs" from Western countries, although he revealed that Ukraine had begun receiving some weapons and ammunition.
"The Russian army is trying to take advantage of its current advantage on the battlefield, while the Ukrainian army is still waiting for aid from its allies. Russia is preparing to attack. Accelerating aid will help us stabilize the front line," said Mr. Zelensky.
Ukrainian military commander Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi warned over the weekend that Russia was massing troops near Kharkov, Ukraine's second largest city.
