Ho Chi Minh City is expected to have 10 large-scale projects and works to start and inaugurate to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party. The content is stated in the directive document of the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on organizing the groundbreaking and inaugurating of projects and works to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Projects expected to start construction on December 19 include: Construction of the Youth Cultural House, with a total investment of VND2,240 billion; Component 1 project to build Ring Road 2, the section from Phu Huu Bridge to Vo Nguyen Giap Street, over 3.5 km long, with an investment of VND2,653 billion; Component 2 project to build Ring Road 2, the section from Vo Nguyen Giap Street to Pham Van Dong Street; Component 2 project of the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway construction project, phase 1, with an investment of VND2,422 billion; upgrading and expanding Hoi Bai - Phuoc Tan Road (DT992) from National Highway 51 to Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway; Nguyen Khoi Bridge and Road construction project, with a total investment of VND3,724 billion.

Large-scale projects and works starting construction to welcome the 14th National Party Congress also include: Ho Chi Minh City Metro Line 2 (Ben Thanh - Tham Luong section) nearly 12 km long, total investment of 47,890 billion VND; the project of dredging, improving the environment, building infrastructure of Xuyen Tam canal (from Nhieu Loc - Thi Nghe canal to Vam Thuat river) 8.8 km long, total investment of 17,229 billion VND; the project of dredging, building infrastructure, improving the environment of the North bank of Doi canal 4.3 km long, total investment of 7,300 billion VND. Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 will also open to technical traffic in the area of ​​Long Truong, Long Phuoc, Long Binh wards.

Along with the 10 major projects and works above, Ho Chi Minh City will also start and inaugurate 7 group B projects and works and 2 group C projects and works, notably: 115 Emergency Center, Facility 2; construction of the City Testing and Calibration Center; expansion of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway (section from An Phu intersection to Ring Road 2)...

The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned investors to urgently and proactively coordinate with relevant departments and branches to prepare plans and programs for organizing groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for large-scale and meaningful projects to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party. The Department of Culture and Sports shall preside over and coordinate with investors to guide and implement contents related to the preparation of groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies.
