Ho Chi Minh City: Ring Road 2 project, Nguyen Khoi bridge, Youth Cultural House... started construction on December 19

Ho Chi Minh City is preparing to start and inaugurate a series of major projects on December 19 as requested by the Government. These include the second ring road, Nguyen Khoi bridge and road, the Youth Cultural House and many other public works.

Implementing the Prime Minister 's telegram on preparing to organize groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for large-scale and meaningful projects to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just assigned departments, branches, and investors to make specific plans.

Accordingly, a series of projects in Ho Chi Minh City will start construction and be inaugurated, especially focusing on December 19, 2025 as launched by the Government .

For group A projects (large-scale projects), December 19, 2025: Commencement of the project to build the Youth Cultural House, land area of ​​over ^14,344m2 , 21 floors and 4 basements, height of about 84.15m, investment capital of 2,240 billion VND.

Component 1 of Ho Chi Minh City's Belt Road 2 (section from Phu Huu Bridge to Vo Nguyen Giap Street) is 3.5km long, 67m wide with an investment capital of VND2,653 billion. Component 2 of Belt Road 2 (section from Vo Nguyen Giap Street to Pham Van Dong Street) is 2.4km long, 67m wide with an investment capital of VND2,587 billion.

Component 2 of the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai Expressway Construction Project. Specifically, it will build a 19.66km long residential road through Ho Chi Minh City, and a 23.48km long road through Tay Ninh ; 16 bridges and 10 tunnels through the two localities with a total capital of VND2,422 billion.

Nguyen Khoi Bridge and Road Project (connecting the center of Ho Chi Minh City with District 4 and old District 7), including the bridge and road sections, increased on average from 6.5m to 25-30m, with a total capital of 3,724 billion VND.

Project to upgrade and expand Hoi Bai - Phuoc Tan road (DT992) from National Highway 51 to Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway with capital of 3,690 billion VND.

Also on this occasion, Ho Chi Minh City registered for technical traffic opening of Ring Road 3 (section through Long Truong, Long Phuoc, Long Binh wards - Ho Chi Minh City).

Regarding metro line 2 (Ben Thanh - Tham Luong), the city is currently rushing to complete related procedures to start construction in January 2026.

In addition, some group B projects such as: Emergency Center 115 Facility 2, City Testing Center, upgrading Tran Van Giau High School, building a new Tropical Disease Center (Block 4B) of Children's Hospital 1, expanding the road connecting Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway (from An Phu intersection to Ring Road 2) ... also started construction on December 19, 2025.
