The Buddhist Cultural Fair of the Year of the Dragon aims to create a space to review the traditional cultural values of the Vietnamese people and Vietnamese Buddhism in the hearts of the public.
On the evening of January 27, the Spring Buddhist Cultural Fair of Giap Thin with the theme "Fragrance of the Earth" was opened at Pho Quang Pagoda, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City. The activity was organized by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Ho Chi Minh City, aiming to preserve and promote the traditional cultural values of the nation, in the joyful atmosphere of the Buddhist community and people who love Buddhism in the City during Tet.

Most Venerable Thich Tri Chon, Member of the Executive Council, Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Buddhist Cultural Committee, said that the program aims to create a good space, review the traditional cultural values of the Vietnamese people and Vietnamese Buddhism in the hearts of the public; help Buddhists have the opportunity to enjoy and receive Buddhist artworks and Buddhist cultural products. The fair also aims to create conditions for businessmen and Buddhists to have a good playground and environment to serve, to contribute and make offerings during the traditional Tet holiday of the nation.
Also according to Venerable Thich Tri Chon, the Buddhist Cultural Products Fair and Exhibition "Ong Do Street" with the theme "Fragrance of the Land" aims toeducate monks, nuns, Buddhists, and the community of people who love Buddhism to remember the origin, ancestors of the "rice and water" civilization of the Vietnamese people; to show respect and gratitude to the "motherland", to the homeland of Vietnam that has nurtured, sheltered, protected, and always been forgiving and joyful with the children of Vietnam.
Taking place from January 18 to February 4, the Spring Buddhist Cultural Fair of the Year of the Dragon "Huong Dat" includes booths displaying products and goods imbued with Buddhist culture such as Buddha statues, Bodhisattvas, candles, incense, Buddhist instruments, Buddhist robes, various types of Buddhist cultural gifts, tea, vegetarian food...
Following the Buddhist Cultural Fair, from February 4 to February 24, the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Buddhist Cultural Committee organized the “Street of Scholars” Exhibition at Vietnam National Temple, introducing to monks, nuns, Buddhists and the public of the city about calligraphy techniques, paintings, Buddha statues, Buddhist instruments, tea, candles, etc.
