Ho Chi Minh City: Launching a peak emulation campaign 'Determination to accelerate, double productivity'

Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just issued the "Determination to accelerate, double productivity" peak emulation plan to welcome the 1st City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 and the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Ho Chi Minh City organized many activities in response to the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, this emulation campaign aims to mobilize the combined strength of the entire political system, the business community and all classes of people, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals on the occasion of the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress.

Specifically, the emulation movement will be widely deployed, linked to political tasks and suitable to the reality of each agency, unit and locality. Participants include collectives and individuals who are cadres, civil servants, public employees, soldiers, businesses, schools, hospitals, union members, association members and people in the city.

The competition will take place from now until December 31, 2025, divided into two phases. Phase 1 (until October 15, 2025) focuses on completing typical projects and tasks to welcome the 1st City Party Congress. Each agency, unit, and locality must select at least one key project or innovative model to speed up the implementation progress.

Phase 2, with the theme "Acceleration, Breakthrough", aims to successfully complete the socio -economic development goals for 2025 and the 5-year plan for 2021 - 2025. The city strives to disburse 95% of public investment capital, and complete 90% of typical city-level programs, works and emulation projects on schedule.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also emphasized the need to link the emulation movement with key tasks, including the successful organization of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2030 term. It is expected that at the closing ceremony, the Chairman of the City People's Committee will award certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements, innovative models, and effective solutions contributing to the development of the City.

In phase 1, Ho Chi Minh City focused resources to start construction on schedule for 9 projects: Project to build the City Children's Palace; Project to expand the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway (section from An Phu intersection to Ring Road 2); Project to dredge Da Do Canal (from Nguyen Hoang Street to Saigon River); Project to build Phu Tho Racecourse Park - entertainment area for young people; Project to build a new Women's Cultural House - Facility 1; Project to build Tan Chanh Hiep Park (Tan Chanh Hiep fish pond area); Project to build an outdoor sports center in Ward 10, old District 6; Project to renovate and embellish the city-level architectural and artistic relic of Binh Tho Communal House; Project to renovate and embellish the city-level architectural and artistic relic of Linh Tay Communal House.

In addition, Ho Chi Minh City also strives to complete two projects on schedule: the Cu Chi Regional General Hospital construction project and the Ba Trieu Canal dredging and renovation project.
