Hue City's health sector actively handles the environment and raises awareness among people about preventing streptococcus suis disease.

Upon admission, the hospital activated the internal red alert procedure to mobilize relevant specialties such as intensive care, infectious diseases, and neurology to coordinate treatment. Cases detected early will be treated with antibiotics promptly and according to the regimen, closely monitored for neurological complications and sepsis, and treated with intensive care when necessary.

Doctors recommend that people with suspected streptococcal infection should be taken to the hospital immediately for timely treatment. Special attention should be paid to monitoring those who have close contact with sick pigs, such as pig farmers, slaughterers and traders. Sick pigs should not be slaughtered or transported. Dead pigs must be properly destroyed. Barns and the breeding environment must be sprayed with disinfectants to prevent the spread of disease.
