Thu Duc City recruits 6th grade students by survey at 3 schools

On May 9, the People's Committee of Thu Duc City announced the enrollment plan for the first grade classes of the 2024-2025 school year.

According to this plan, Thu Duc City will conduct registration for admission to first-level classes and admission online according to the instructions of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training. At the same time, units will develop support and guidance plans for cases of difficulty or unfamiliarity with the operation.

After the results are announced, parents must confirm their admission on the admissions page at: https://tuyensinhdaucap.hcm.edu.vn, then submit their paper application directly to the school they have been admitted to according to the local primary school admission plan.

Thu Duc City People's Committee also noted: The steps for online registration are guided on the primary school admissions website. Parents will receive SMS messages from the switchboard.

In the 2024-2025 school year, in Thu Duc City, the number of 5-year-old children entering kindergarten (born in 2019) is expected to be 12,732 (expected). Enrollment is expected to begin on July 1 and results will be announced on August 1.

Enrollment in grade 1 (children born in 2018) with 17,464 children. Enrollment in grade 6 with 16,703 students.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Thu Duc City will conduct admission to grade 6 by reviewing records combined with conducting a capacity assessment survey at Tran Quoc Toan 1, Hoa Lu, and Binh Tho Secondary Schools implementing the high-quality program "Advanced, Internationally Integrated Schools", when the number of students registering for grade 6 is greater than the enrollment target. The survey for the 3 schools will be conducted on the same day, with the same questions, organized by the Department of Education and Training.

Specific targets are as follows: Tran Quoc Toan 1 Secondary School: 9 grade 6 classes (including at least 4 integrated English classes) with 315 students.

Hoa Lu Secondary School: 11 6th grade classes (including at least 2 integrated English classes) with 385 students.

Binh Tho Secondary School: 8 grade 6 classes (including at least 3 integrated English classes) with 280 students.
