With the theme “Proud of Children of Uncle Ho City”, this year’s summer activity plan of Ho Chi Minh City includes a series of programs designed to bring children meaningful learning, playing and entertainment experiences.
One of the priorities of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee is to open school gates to become places to receive and organize weekly summer activities for children.
In addition, the city also advocates effectively utilizing other public places such as parks, neighborhood, hamlet, ward, commune, and town headquarters; common living areas in residential areas, apartment buildings, cultural accommodation areas, large boarding houses; as well as other suitable and safe locations for children to organize periodic summer activities.

Existing cultural institutions such as Children's House, Cultural - Sports Center, Community Learning Center, Children's Playground... will be maximized as places to organize activities for children. At the same time, historical relics, museums, and red addresses in the city will be places to organize meaningful historical, cultural and traditional educational activities.
According to the announced plan, the estimated budget for summer activities is 40,000 VND/child for ward level and 47,000 VND/child for commune level.
This policy applies to teenagers and children; students of high schools, continuing education centers, vocational education - continuing education centers in the area, students of charity classes, work-study schools, and children at clubs, shelters, and open houses.
The City People's Committee specifically requested that wards and communes allocate budgets to organize knowledge enrichment classes, teaching talents, foreign languages, sports playgrounds... for children at cultural accommodation areas in the area.
Funding for summer activities of departments, branches, sectors, unions, wards and communes will be spent within the budget targets assigned in 2025, while encouraging the mobilization of additional social resources for supplementation.
