In the last months of the year, the Ho Chi Minh City market enters the most exciting shopping period. In order to promote domestic consumption and support workers in the context of high living costs, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade is implementing a series of large-scale stimulus and promotion programs.
Mr. Nguyen Nguyen Phuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City said that along with the promotion and stimulus programs maintained regularly at supermarket and retail systems, in the fourth quarter of 2025, the unit will prioritize focusing on groups of solutions to stimulate domestic consumption associated with taking care of workers' lives.
Accordingly, the Department of Industry and Trade coordinates with departments, branches, sectors and enterprises to implement mobile sales programs right in industrial parks, export processing zones, residential areas and factories with a large number of workers. These activities are accompanied by many prestigious brands, large distribution systems and strong credit institutions, aiming to provide essential goods at preferential prices, high discounts and support consumer credit.
The representative of the Department of Industry and Trade assessed that the mobile sales program not only helps stimulate consumption, support workers and laborers to reduce living expenses, but also contributes to stabilizing prices and limiting market fluctuations during peak shopping times. This is one of the activities demonstrating the role of regulating the market and social security of Ho Chi Minh City, at the same time helping to improve the effectiveness of the Shopping Season promotion program in a more comprehensive, sustainable and widespread way.
At the same time, Ho Chi Minh City also promotes the "Green Tick of Responsibility" program, strengthens market inspection and control, prevents counterfeit, fake and poor quality goods, helping people feel secure in purchasing quality goods.
In particular, in the second phase of the Shopping Season Program taking place from November 15 to December 31, Ho Chi Minh City allows businesses to apply many explosive promotional programs, with deeper discounts than usual regulations, to create strong consumer motivation, stimulate purchasing power and contribute to completing the year-end economic and trade growth targets.
