On the morning of September 27, more than 10,000 candidates entered the practical exam round, competing for more than 5,700 positions as teachers from kindergarten to high school in Ho Chi Minh City. Each candidate can only register one wish, the competition ratio is 1 to 2.
The test lasts 30 minutes, testing the candidate's knowledge and professional skills, based on the job position. The Department will consider from highest to lowest order until the quota is full with those who achieve a minimum score of 50/100 points.
The practical exam takes place in the following order: drawing questions; recording presentation content on a form (15 minutes); submitting the form; presenting knowledge and illustrating skills according to the submitted content and answering questions from the panel (15 minutes).

Many candidates applying for primary school teachers were present at the Hung Vuong High School exam site (Cho Lon ward) early. Ms. Tran Thi Thu, 22 years old, residing in Chanh Hung ward, said she felt nervous and anxious because this was her first exam. "I hope everything goes smoothly, especially since this is the first teacher exam in Ho Chi Minh City after the merger," she said.

Candidates focus on looking at their registration numbers.

Many candidates took the opportunity to review the knowledge they had prepared. In round 2, candidates had to introduce the techniques, methods and teaching aids they would use in the lecture.

Le Trung, 23, who graduated from An Giang University in July, decided to "take a risk" by registering for the Ho Chi Minh City teacher recruitment exam. He said he wanted to challenge himself in a new environment. "I just arrived in the city at 5am this morning and ran to the exam site. Hopefully I will get good results," Trung shared.

This is the third time Nguyen Khanh Linh (middle), 24 years old, living in Hoc Mon commune, has participated in the teacher recruitment exam. "Hopefully after the merger, the exam will be easier than previous years," she said.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Chanh Trung, an officer at Hung Vuong High School, said that there was a shower in the early morning, which somewhat affected the movement of candidates. "The officers at the exam site have increased their staff to coordinate and guide candidates to the correct exam room," Mr. Trung said.
