According to the Tra On Commune Party Committee, in the 2020-2025 term, despite facing many difficulties, especially price fluctuations, natural disasters, crop and livestock diseases and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the agricultural economy of Tra On commune still maintained an average growth rate of 1.3%/year; aquaculture area increased by 12.3 hectares; 41 large-scale broiler farms were formed with about 630,500 chickens. In addition, implementing the One Commune One Product program, the commune had 4 OCOP products recognized, contributing to raising the average income to 61 million VND/person/year.
In the 2025-2030 term, facing new requirements and the goal of developing high-tech and ecological agricultural economy associated with trade and services, the locality will focus on implementing key tasks.
In particular, strive to increase the value of agricultural and aquatic production by an average of 5% per year; maintain the annual crop planting area of about 732.1 hectares; maintain 410 hectares of high-quality rice; develop key perennial crops to reach 850 hectares.
