On July 4, the keyword phrase "Fei Da Chu restaurant is recruiting waiters" suddenly became a hot search term on China's Weibo social network.

The cause originated from an incident where a netizen posted information saying that a branch of this restaurant chain had just announced a recruitment for the position of waiter or waitress with a salary ranging from 5,000 to 6,000 yuan (18.2 million VND to 21.8 million VND) with the request "candidates without a university degree, please do not bother".

Specific duties for this position include clearing tables and chairs, keeping the dining area clean, and serving customers enthusiastically and warmly.

In response to the "stormy" information, the restaurant representative recently responded. This person said that this recruitment information was proposed by the previous manager of the restaurant.

In fact, recruitment is not entirely based on qualifications, but also on work experience. However, university-educated employees will have more advantages when considering promotions.

"Currently, the restaurant has several waiters with university degrees. With this level of education, the opportunity for each employee to become a senior manager will be more favorable. Normally, it only takes 1 to 2 years for such employees to be promoted to the position of store manager," he said.

Previously, a branch of Fei Da Chu restaurant in the US caused a stir when it posted a recruitment notice for a management position with a base salary of 110,000 to 150,000 USD/year (2.8 billion VND - 3.9 billion VND).

Job requirements for this position include at least 2 years of experience managing a restaurant chain or being self-employed. The candidate must have managed a team of 20 to 30 people and be knowledgeable about the laws and food industry in the US.

According to public information, Fei Da Chu restaurant is a famous brand specializing in serving Hunan dishes. Among them, the spicy stir-fried meat dish brings fame to the restaurant.

In 2023, the system sold more than 5 million servings of chili stir-fried meat, surpassing revenue of over 1 billion yuan (3,640 billion VND). The founder of this brand is Mr. Phi Luong Hue, born in 1980, coming from a family with a long tradition of cooking.

In 1997, Mr. Phi followed his father to learn the trade and in 2003 opened his first restaurant with the main dish being stir-fried meat with chili. By 2016, the brand was completely upgraded and renamed to the current restaurant. Mr. Phi has repeatedly affirmed that this brand will not be franchised.
