On the occasion of International Children's Day (June 1), the Youth Union, Lao Cai Newspaper Red Cross Society, Lao Cai Connection Club, Xuan Quang Commune Youth Union organized a charity program, giving gifts to students and people in difficult circumstances in Lang My village, Xuan Quang commune (Bao Thang).
This is an activity in response to Humanitarian Month and the 2023 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.
At the program, the units presented 8 gifts to students in especially difficult circumstances; presented 160 gifts to preschool, primary and secondary school students in Lang My village.
On this occasion, the volunteer group donated 30,000 cinnamon seedlings to support the Youth Union of Xuan Quang commune in implementing the "Livelihood Tree Hill" model in Lang My village.
Within the framework of the program, cultural and artistic activities took place; entertainment activities were organized and drowning prevention propaganda was promoted for students.
The total value of the gifts is over 55 million VND. Through the activities, the spirit of mutual love of the units is demonstrated, aiming to help poor households and show concern and care for beloved juniors for students in difficult areas and ethnic minorities in Xuan Quang commune.
