Accordingly, in 2022, the Tran Mai Ninh Journalism Award attracted over 100 entries. After reviewing and evaluating the criteria, the Appraisal Council selected 37 best entries to submit to the Provincial People's Committee Chairman for commendation, including 3 A prizes, 10 B prizes, 14 C prizes and 10 Encouragement prizes.

According to the evaluation of the Evaluation Council, the works participating in the Tran Mai Ninh Award in 2022 are of better quality than last year, more consistent in quality. Many works are invested in elaborately, have a tight structure, the way of expression is close, vivid, attractive to readers; the content has the nature of discovering new issues, criticizing major policies and guidelines of the Party and State; proposing many creative solutions, good ways of doing things that have the power to spread and influence in society.
At the ceremony, the provincial leaders awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee to the authors and groups of authors who won the A prize, including: Author group Le Dung - Tran Hang (Thanh Hoa Newspaper) with the series of articles "Sustainable poverty reduction in mountainous areas: Overcoming cognitive barriers, unleashing action capacity"; author Sy Duc (Vietnam Television, VOV 1 News Channel) with the series of articles: "Generaleducation program 2018 - What is the solution for education in mountainous areas" and author group An Thu - Viet Duc - Manh Tuan - Pham Ngoc (Thanh Hoa Radio and Television) with the work "Resurrection".

Along with the national press, the press and journalists in Thanh Hoa province have developed rapidly. Publications and channels of press agencies in Thanh Hoa province have been gradually improved, published more widely, with more positive effects, basically meeting the leadership and direction requirements of the Party Committee and government, as well as the information needs of the public... contributing to the development of the province.
In addition to local press agencies, reporters and journalists from central press agencies, provinces and cities with representative offices and permanent residences in Thanh Hoa have proactively grasped the situation, closely followed the grassroots, developed propaganda plans, promptly reflected important political events and socio-economic activities taking place in the province; actively participated in reflecting and fighting against corruption, negativity, waste, and discovered many prominent and pressing cases, helping authorities grasp and handle them promptly, contributing to stabilizing public opinion.
