Journalist Ho Minh Chien, Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Family Magazine, Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest, said that after 3 seasons, the writing contest “Father and Daughter” has become a meaningful bridge, where each person has the opportunity to express their feelings for their beloved fathers and daughters. Each entry is not only a page of writing, but also a word of gratitude, a message to the community about respecting and preserving family affection in modern life.
According to the Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Family Magazine, the third "Father and Daughter" writing contest received nearly 1,000 entries from many provinces and cities across the country. Authors who submitted entries to the contest were of different ages, occupations, and backgrounds, but the common point was that they all wrote with sincere feelings, stemming from profound experiences about the father-daughter relationship.

Many stories are written from personal memories but evoke familiar situations in every Vietnamese family, where the father is present as a solid pillar, a warm support and sometimes transforms into a "second mother", taking care of his daughter with silent devotion.
Evaluating the quality of the entries, poet Hong Thanh Quang - Head of the Jury commented: This year's contest recorded many profound and touching articles that moved readers to tears. The entries were diverse in genre, from memoirs, short stories, notes, essays to poetry. There was a work about a hard-working father who devoted his life to making a living so that his daughter could get a good education. There was a story about a father who spoke few words but showed his love through small actions such as a hastily tucked raincoat, nights waiting for his child to come home late, or a hot meal when his daughter returned from working far away.

Accompanying the contest, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Trao, President of Hanoi University, said that family in Vietnamese culture is an original value, imbued with the Vietnamese soul. The writing contest "Father and Daughter" is not only a contest to find winners but more than that, to spread family values, in which the love between father and daughter is especially honored.
"We are very impressed to know that Vietnam Family Magazine has worked hard to organize the "Father and Daughter" writing contest in the past 3 seasons. Hanoi University is honored to be a companion in this humanitarian activity," the President of Hanoi University shared.

With a responsible, impartial and objective working spirit, the Jury of the writing contest selected from nearly 1,000 excellent entries to honor. Specifically, the First Prize went to author Nguyen Thuy Anh (Reading with Children Club, Hanoi) with the work "Father's Voice". 2 Second Prizes were awarded to author Dang Diem Quynh (Vietnam Television) with the work "Let the Wind Take You Away" and author Phan Thanh Phong (Nhan Dan Newspaper) with the work "My Father". 3 Third Prizes included: Author Tran Thanh Xuyen (Member of the Literature and Arts Association of Hau Giang Province) with the work "Father's Little Daughter"; author Ton Quang Hoa (Department of Personnel Organization, Hanoi University) with the work "Please call me dad"; author Tran Thi Tam (Nguyen Chi Thanh High School for the Gifted, Nghia Tan Ward, Dak Nong Province) with the work "Father's Math".
