The solidarity house of Mrs. Tran Thi Duong's family has a total area of 60 square meters (5 meters wide and 12 meters long), with reinforced concrete columns and plastered walls (front and worship wall), corrugated iron roof, meeting the "4 hard" criteria.
The total construction cost was over 60 million VND, completed in 30 days of construction. Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ba Tri district mobilized Ms. Nguyen Thi Tham in Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province to support 50 million VND and the Ba Tri District Fund for the Poor to support 10 million VND and construction workers to support 750 thousand VND to create construction funds.
Representatives of the People's Committee of Phuoc Ngai commune presented the decision to hand over the solidarity house to Mrs. Tran Thi Duong's household.
Ms. Tran Thi Duong shared that her family is a poor household in the locality, has no land for production (only about 100m2), has been blind for more than a month, has 2 children (the eldest son is 43 years old, unmarried and lives with the family, the youngest daughter is 41 years old, married in Ho Chi Minh City and lives far away from home with difficult economic circumstances for the small family). The eldest son has been suffering from tongue cancer for more than 2 years, due to lack of money, he is receiving medical treatment from charity. Her husband passed away more than 15 years ago due to illness, leaving behind difficulties and living with monthly support from the State and locality.
Delegates attending the house handover ceremony shared joy with Mrs. Tran Thi Duong's family.
Representing the local leaders, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Phuoc Ngai Commune, Le Van Lot, acknowledged the contributions of sponsors in social security work, as well as their wholehearted care for poor households in the locality. It is expected that in the coming time, sponsors will continue to accompany the locality on the path of economic, cultural and social development.
Phuoc Ngai is a purely agricultural commune, with practical difficulties. In 2023, the departments, branches and organizations mobilized funds from sponsors to build 5/10 houses for households with difficult economic circumstances and urgent housing needs.
