Over 140 workers participate in orientation education for seasonal work in Korea

On the morning of July 7, the Employment Service Center under the Department of Home Affairs of Lao Cai province held the opening ceremony of an orientation education class for 143 workers in the province before going to work seasonally in the agricultural sector in Korea.

These are workers who passed the interview round and selected workers for the first round of seasonal work in 2025 in Korea, coordinated by the Department of Home Affairs of the province and the working delegation of Goryeong district, North Gyeongsang province, Korea in mid-June 2025.

Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, the representative of the Department of Home Affairs emphasized the significance and benefits of working in Korea.

The seasonal labor cooperation program with Korea not only opens up opportunities to increase income for workers but also provides an opportunity to access advanced science and technology in agricultural production.

At the Orientation Education Class, workers learn basic Korean and learn about Korean culture.

In addition, after working in Korea, workers also accumulate knowledge, skills and industrial working style. This will be the foundation for developing family economy , starting a business or expanding production models in their homeland after returning home.

The leaders of the Department of Home Affairs hope that when workers participate in seasonal work in Korea, they will become exemplary "labor ambassadors" of Lao Cai province - working with a sense of responsibility, discipline, professionalism and compliance with the law.

At the Orientation Education Class, workers are equipped with legal knowledge, culture and necessary skills before leaving the country. Students will learn basic Korean, learn about Korean culture, Korean culture and labor behavior, and occupational safety and hygiene in the agricultural sector.

The course will take place over 2 days, July 7-8. After that, 32 workers will have a health check in Hanoi on July 9 to prepare for the first batch of seasonal labor export to Korea, expected in early September 2025.
