Body of missing man found after boat capsized on Thac Ba Lake

According to information from the authorities, at 3:18 p.m. this afternoon (September 1), the body of Vu Manh Doan, 33 years old, residing in Loan Huong village, Yen Binh commune, was found after many hours missing on Thac Ba lake.

Earlier, at around 7:30 a.m. the same day, Mr. Doan and his nephew, Vu Binh Minh, 13 years old, went fishing in a boat to Thac Ba Lake. Unfortunately, the boat capsized, causing Mr. Doan to be swept away and go missing. Luckily, Minh swam safely to shore.

Immediately after receiving the news from the family, the Lao Cai Provincial Fire Prevention and Rescue Police and the professional diving team of Thac Ba Lake urgently organized a search and rescue.

Immediately after receiving the news from the family at 10:30 am, Yen Binh Commune Police coordinated with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Lao Cai Province Police and the professional diving team of Thac Ba Lake to urgently organize a search and rescue. After many hours of effort, Mr. Doan's body was found at the bottom of the lake.

The authorities have handed over the victim's body to his family for burial.

This incident is once again a warning about the necessary caution when participating in activities on rivers and lakes, especially in large river and lake areas.
