The course lasts 4 days, including theoretical and practical lessons in the Analysis Room, which is equipped with a modern software system, similar to what football clubs and federations around the world are using to collect and analyze data about matches, players, etc.
This information, although not too noticeable, shows the right step of Vietnamese football on the journey to affirm professionalism, based on the foundation of science and technology. This is considered an important first step in the formation of a network of in-depth football analysis experts in Vietnam.
When the analysis team is strong enough, clubs and national teams will have more complete data to analyze the physical, technical, and tactical aspects of players and teams, and at the same time determine transfer plans as well as propose specific tactics for each match against each opponent. By effectively utilizing technological achievements, sports managers, coaches and the club's player recruitment department will limit mistakes in transfers, not using players emotionally but based on analytical data on health, performance, and tactical requirements.
In general, in the world, advanced football and big clubs in Europe have long applied data science as an indispensable solution to success. The importance of data analysis systems and the application of results to transfer, training, and competition has even helped a small, less famous club to defeat big clubs with many stars in the squad.
In Vietnam, sports data analysis has taken its first systematic steps. From the 15 students attending the above training course, we can hope that in the near future, the Vietnam Football Federation as well as the clubs competing in the national tournament system will have a professional and effective data analysis department, contributing more to the development of Vietnamese football.
