From village to artificial intelligence playground
Nguyen Hoang Anh Hao, a Co ethnic student studying in class 12/4 at Quang Nam Ethnic Boarding High School, has surpassed hundreds of ideas to win the Encouragement Prize at the "AI Innovation Challenge - Community Building 2025" contest organized by the Da Nang City Youth Union.
His story has become a special source of inspiration for many students studying at the school. Hao's achievements are not only a source of personal pride, but also arouse the spirit of learning and the desire to master technology in the ethnic minority student community who have little access to digital knowledge.
“When I left my village, I always cherished the dream of exploring and conquering technology, so I built the idea of “Da Nang Green” to compete. This achievement is just a small step, because the journey ahead is still very long. But I believe that with perseverance and continuous learning, students from the highlands like me can also master technology and contribute to our community,” Hao said.

Mr. Pham Hung, Vice Principal of Quang Nam Ethnic Boarding High School, shared: “From lands that seemed to be on the “edge” of digital technology , Hao has proven that there is no barrier big enough to stop the footsteps of knowledge. Despite many difficulties in learning conditions and technological infrastructure, he still persevered to rise thanks to his passion and timely support from teachers and family.”
To contribute to creating proud achievements like Nguyen Hoang Anh Hao, Quang Nam Ethnic Boarding High School has proactively organized training sessions on "Application of AI in learning" to inspire creativity and eagerness to learn in each student.
The school invited lecturer Ho Van Vinh, from the Central College of Electricity, to directly impart knowledge and experience in applying digital technology, especially artificial intelligence, to students. He guided students on how to use popular AI tools as well as “prompt” writing skills to help students effectively exploit the power of artificial intelligence in creative learning.
During the training session, highland students were free to ask many interesting questions about AI technology. These questions not only showed their eagerness to learn, but also showed that they are gradually forming critical thinking with a desire to master technology in the digital age.

Ka Hien Thi Mo (grade 10/3 student) could not hide her excitement during the AI technology practice session. “AI helps me understand knowledge more deeply and know how to communicate issues more vividly. I really want to continue learning, so that in the future I can apply AI to life, helping children in the highlands like me now,” Mo said.
Bringing technology to students, the Board of Directors of Nguyen Trai Ethnic Boarding Secondary School (Tra Tap Commune) has actively called for socialization and received support from the community to invest in computers for learning.
Every week, Ca Dong and Xo Dang students eagerly go to the school's computer room. Even though their hands are still clumsy on the keyboard and their commands are not yet accurate, they are always full of excitement when they can create presentation slides, create gmail and facebook accounts, learn about learning software...
Mr. Nguyen Thanh, Party Cell Secretary and Principal of Nguyen Trai Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, shared: “In a place where phone and wifi signals are still unstable, what makes us proud is the students' passion for exploring technology. It is their perseverance and eagerness to learn that has helped them gradually become familiar with computer skills, opening new doors of knowledge for the future.”
Digital technology team: creative nucleus in village school
In the 2025-2026 school year, Pham Phu Thu High School (Go Noi Commune) launched a Digital Technology Team consisting of 36 members, most of whom are excellent students in computers and information technology. This is considered the core force in supporting digital technology application activities in learning and the school's Youth Union activities.

Mr. Tran Van Thanh, Secretary of the School Youth Union, shared: “Although starting from a purely agricultural countryside, with their efforts and passion, the students in the Digital Technology Group can completely conquer knowledge in the digital age. Establishing the Digital Technology Group is an important step in building a modern learning environment, contributing to improving the quality of education in the 4.0 era that is taking place strongly.”
The digital technology team has an important role in bringing technology closer to each student in the school. Team members actively support and guide their friends to use learning software and digital devices.
Pioneer in organizing technological innovation movements such as programming competitions, scientific and technical research projects, contributing to creating a dynamic and creative learning environment.
In addition to technical support, the team also coordinates with the school in operating and maintaining computer systems, internet networks and learning management software, ensuring all technological activities run smoothly and effectively.
Nguyen Thi Dieu My (class 12/4), a core member of the Digital Technology Team, said: “Most of the students at the school are from farming families, so many of them do not have personal computers, and updating information about technology and the internet is slow. Our Digital Technology Team always accompanies and supports students to access technology faster, contributing to narrowing the digital gap.”
Every two weeks, the Digital Technology Group of Pham Phu Thu High School organizes a meeting where members share and update the latest technology trends. The journey to conquer digital knowledge for students is still very long, but it is the desire to overcome learning barriers that has helped them confidently approach new technology, explore creative potential and gradually become the creators of the digital future for their hometown and village.
