Prosecution of leaders and accountants of Hai Van Long Joint Stock Company for tax evasion

DNO - On October 16, the Economic Police Department, Da Nang City Police issued a decision to prosecute and search the residence and workplace of Le Ngoc Thao (former Director), Vo Van Ly (Director) and Tran Phuoc Duong (Chief Accountant) of Hai Van Long Joint Stock Company for the act of "Tax evasion".

According to the initial investigation results, in the period of 2014 - 2017, Hai Van Long Joint Stock Company (construction unit) signed and implemented 16 construction contracts for items of the F-Home apartment building (No. 16 Ly Thuong Kiet, Da Nang ) with Da Nang Food Joint Stock Company (investor), the total value of the contract and appendix is ​​nearly 860 billion VND; and a construction contract for the Sao Viet Kindergarten (No. 67 Le Quang Sung, Da Nang) worth nearly 18 billion VND.
However, after the projects were completed, accepted and put into use in 2018, Hai Van Long Joint Stock Company did not issue full invoices and did not declare taxes as prescribed; leading to value-added tax evasion of more than VND 8 billion.

The case is currently being further investigated and handled by the Da Nang City Police Investigation Agency in accordance with the law.
