In early August 2027, the International Physics - Mathematics Conference is scheduled to take place in Da Nang.

DNO - On October 17, the Ministry of Education and Training worked with the People's Committee of Da Nang city on preparations for the International Conference on Physics and Mathematics (ICMP) 2027.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan thanked the Ministry of Education and Training for choosing Da Nang as the host of ICMP 2027. At the same time, he said that Da Nang has a lot of experience in organizing international events, most recently the 25th International Mathematics Competition ( VIMC 2025) taking place from August 14 to 19, 2025.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan requested that all parties promptly develop detailed plans and scenarios to ensure the conference takes place safely and professionally, leaving a good impression on international scientists when they come to Da Nang.

ICMP 2027 is scheduled to be held in early August 2027 at Duy Tan University (Da Nang city), with about 600 - 800 scientists from countries around the world, including winners of the Fields, Abel, Nobel Prizes in Physics, and Dirac in Physics.

This is the most prestigious scientific event in the field of Physics - Mathematics in the world, organized by the International Union of Physics - Mathematics every 3 years. The conference will have plenary sessions and specialized sessions.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc said that this is the second time ICMP is held in Asia, the first time was in Japan in 1978. This is also the largest international scientific event ever held in Vietnam in the field of Mathematics - Physics.

According to the Deputy Minister, the ICMP 2027 organization will contribute to implementing the task of promoting international cooperation in research, application and training in Mathematics, "organizing at least 2 regional and world-class scientific conferences in Asia and the world in the period 2021 - 2030" according to the national key program for mathematics development in the period 2021 - 2030.

ICMP 2027 contributes to promoting the image of Da Nang as an attractive destination on the world tourism and science map, attracting the attention of the global scientific community.

At the meeting, the relevant parties exchanged and discussed contents such as: establishing the Steering Committee, the local Organizing Committee; developing an implementation plan; facilities for the conference venue, accommodation, information technology infrastructure; security and communication work, etc.

Representatives of participating schools proposed to take advantage of the conference to connect international scientists with high school students, through exchanges and inspirational topics on Math - Physics to help them nurture their passion for science and orient them to pursue cutting-edge technology industries in the future...
