Chief Inspector Thai Van Tuong emphasized that the timely implementation of new legal documents will contribute to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management, building an honest, modern administration that serves the people. He requested that officials and civil servants, especially those in the 96 communes, wards, and special zones, thoroughly understand the new points of the laws in order to apply them effectively in practice.

At the conference, Deputy Director of the Legal Department of the Government Inspectorate, Chu Duc Thang, introduced the basic contents and new points to note when implementing the laws. In particular, the 2025 Inspection Law has refined the concept of inspection by eliminating the distinction between administrative and specialized inspections. It also adds the responsibility of inspection agencies to prevent and combat waste. Regarding the Law amending and supplementing several articles of the Law on Citizen Reception, the Law on Complaints, and the Law on Denunciations, effective from July 1, 2026, a notable new point is the addition of online citizen reception alongside in-person reception. This regulation facilitates citizens in providing feedback, making suggestions, filing complaints, and making denunciations, especially for those who live far away or have difficulty traveling.

The Inspection Law of 2025 was passed by the 15th National Assembly on June 25, 2025, at its 9th session, and came into effect on July 1, 2025. The Law amending and supplementing several articles of the Law on Citizen Reception, the Law on Complaints, the Law on Denunciations, and the Law amending and supplementing several articles of the Law on Prevention and Combat of Corruption were passed by the 15th National Assembly in December 2025.
