Exhibition of Buddhist press materials "Forming a lotus platform"

Giac Ngo Newspaper, the Information and Communication Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Buddhist Sangha, in collaboration with Hue Quang Library, organized a press document exhibition with the theme "Forming a lotus platform".

The exhibition displays images and press materials including printed newspaper publications and some documents related to Bodhisattva Thich Quang Duc and the historical period of Vietnamese Buddhism in 1963, published by historical witnesses and mentioned by researchers over the past 60 years.

Exhibition visitors

With its special function, considered as the "secretary of the times", the press in general and the Buddhist press in this period recorded vividly and honestly, if not the most vividly and honestly, the unforgettable historical period of 1963 of Buddhism and the nation.

A very small part, introduced in the exhibition “Forming a Lotus Platform”, partly brings to the viewer a deep awareness of the history and culture of the nation. Looking back at the flame of Bodhisattva Thich Quang Duc is not just to see “a painful event” or a past event, but to see the spirit of Buddhism permeating the historical period of the nation.

Exhibition visitors

The exhibition will run from now until June 7 at the headquarters of Giac Ngo Newspaper (85 Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Vo Thi Sau Ward, District 3). During the exhibition, there will be presentations and live talks with researchers and historical witnesses with visitors.
