Eradicating illegal drug use hotspots at karaoke establishments in Phu Quoc

On August 22, the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order of the Provincial Police Department said that it had just coordinated with professional units of the Provincial Police Department and the Phu Quoc Special Zone Police Department to conduct a surprise inspection of a Karaoke service business establishment, catching 23 subjects red-handed illegally using drugs.

At 1:00 a.m. on August 22, a working group chaired by the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, in coordination with the Administrative Management Police Department for Social Order, the Mobile Police Department and the Phu Quoc Special Zone Police, conducted a surprise inspection of a karaoke service business in Ward 1, Duong Dong.

Through inspection of 18 karaoke rooms, the police force caught many subjects illegally using drugs. Through a quick test, 23 subjects tested positive for drugs. The seized evidence included 11 nylon bags containing crystals and 31 red tablets (suspected to be drugs), 4 gas cylinders and many tools for illegal drug use.

The police force brought the subjects to headquarters for investigation and handling. At the same time, invited the karaoke establishment owner to work according to the law.
