High tides in the Southeast coastal region, beware of flooding in the evening

This morning (October 7), on the eastern coast of the South, the tide level is at a high level. It is forecasted that in the next 24-48 hours, low-lying areas along the coast, along rivers, and outside the dykes in the east of the South will be flooded between 2-5 pm every day.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, this morning (October 7), the tide level in the eastern coast of the South is at a high level. The highest water level observed at Vung Tau station was 3.97m at 1:15 a.m. on October 7, 2025.

From this evening until October 8, the water level along the coast of the provinces from Vung Tau to Ca Mau will continue to be at a high level of 4-4.1m. The time of high water is from 2-5pm every day.

It is forecasted that in the next 24 to 48 hours, the water level in the southeastern coastal region will continue to be high. The highest water level at Vung Tau station is forecasted to be around 4.1-4.15m.

The meteorological agency warned that low-lying coastal areas, riverside areas, and areas outside the eastern dykes of the South are likely to be flooded in the late afternoon.

Ships at sea should be wary of tornadoes and strong winds of level 6-7.

In addition, on October 7, there are showers and thunderstorms in the eastern sea area of ​​the southern East Sea (including Truong Sa special zone).

It is forecasted that during the day and night of October 7, in the southern sea area of ​​the central East Sea, the southern East Sea area (including Truong Sa special zone), the sea area from Lam Dong to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to An Giang and the Gulf of Thailand, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms.

During thunderstorms there is a possibility of tornadoes, strong gusts of wind level 6-7 and waves over 2m high.

All vessels operating in the above areas are at risk of being affected by tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.

Weather forecast for regions across the country from October 7 to October 8:

Northern region and Thanh Hoa : Moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain; mountainous and midland areas have heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain; from October 8, there will be showers and thunderstorms in some places.

Nghe An-Ha Tinh: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain; from the night of October 7, there will be showers and thunderstorms in some places.

Central Highlands and Southern Region: There are showers and thunderstorms in some places; in the late afternoon and evening there are scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Other areas: There will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places; in the late afternoon and evening of October 7, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Thunderstorms may contain tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds.
