“It must be admitted that the North Korean military- industrial complex has achieved impressive results over the past 10 years,” said Russian Ambassador to North Korea Aleksandr Matsegora.
"North Korea has developed an almost complete set of cruise and ballistic missiles and conducted dozens of test launches," Aleksandr Matsegora added.

Ambassador Aleksandr Matsegora stressed that Pyongyang's development of new ballistic missiles and its repeated tests are a direct result of Washington's hostile policy toward North Korea.
According to Mr. Aleksandr Matsegora, the North Korean leadership would have no reason to develop and implement large-scale nuclear missile programs without aggression, increased military, political and economic pressure, as well as attempts to interfere in internal affairs from outside.
Mr. Aleksandr Matsegora said that Pyongyang has no plans to attack or provoke the US, Japan or South Korea.
The Russian ambassador pointed out that none of North Korea's missile launches posed any threat to Russia's Far Eastern regions. " North Korea has repeatedly stated that it strictly adheres to this principle. We have no reason not to trust them," the Russian diplomat said.
North Korea has been launching missiles continuously since the beginning of the year. In 2022, the country has tested a total of 37 ballistic missiles.
In mid-April, North Korea tested a new solid-fuel Hwasong-18 intercontinental ballistic missile, which flew about 1,000 kilometers toward the Sea of Japan. The missile landed outside Japan's exclusive economic zone.
