According to a survey by Decision Lab in the Vietnamese market, Cốc Cốc ranks second in terms of PC users, with a user rate of 59%, only behind Google Chrome and far surpassing other browsers.

On mobile, Cốc Cốc maintains a significant market share of 21%, ranking behind Chrome and Safari with 75% and 30% respectively.

The report describes Cốc Cốc as “a domestically developed web browser in Vietnam that is making significant progress, emerging as a strong competitor to giants like Google Chrome and Safari on both PC and mobile platforms.”

According to reviews from Cốc Cốc browser users, 56% of PC users appreciate the video download feature, 51% value its secure browsing capabilities, and 45% prefer its ad-blocking feature.

On mobile devices, users also showed strong preference for ad-blocking (58%) and secure browsing (56%). Notably, 51% of mobile users voted for the multimedia toolbar as their favorite feature on Cốc Cốc.

According to the report, instead of using just one browser, users now have a wider variety of options when browsing the web. On average, each person uses two applications on both their PC and mobile devices.

Google Chrome leads as the most popular browser, preferred by 64% of PC users and 62% of mobile users, followed by Cốc Cốc in second place on PCs with 23% and third on mobile with 9%.

According to an article by Decision Lab: "Cốc Cốc stands out not only in terms of usage statistics but also in the level of recommendations from users."

Research from Decision Lab also shows that this browser achieved a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 53 on PCs, ranking second only to Chrome. Notably, despite lower mobile usage compared to Chrome and Safari, Cốc Cốc achieved the highest NPS score of 66.

NPS is an indicator that measures the extent to which customers are willing to continue using a product or service and recommend it to family and friends.

"The level of trust, as reflected in the NPS score, underscores Cốc Cốc's strong connection with users, reinforcing the browser's reputation and reliability in the market," Decision Lab assessed.

Thue Quist Thomasen, CEO of Decision Lab, commented: "The ability to innovate and deliver user-centric features has helped Cốc Cốc quickly close the gap with its global competitors. This trend demonstrates Cốc Cốc's potential to attract young, tech-savvy users."

Gen Z prefers Cốc Cốc more than other generations.

Data from the report also reveals trends in frequent user behavior across age groups. Gen Z shows a greater preference for Cốc Cốc compared to other generations. Specifically, while Gen Z's usage of Google Chrome on PCs is only 57%, lower than Gen X (67%) and Gen Y (66%), Gen Z's usage of Cốc Cốc is 27% on PCs and 17% on mobile, higher than that of Generation X (20% on PCs, 6% on mobile) and Gen Y (22% on PCs, 8% on mobile).

The Connected Consumer is a quarterly study conducted by Decision Lab. This report focuses on analyzing consumers' online habits, including the use of social media, entertainment ( music , movies, online videos), and other utilities.
