Trinh Kim Chi, Hanh Thuy, Thanh Hiep shine at the Master of Arts degree award ceremony in Hanoi

(NLDO) - 25 new Masters of Theater - Cinema - Television courses K19, 20, 21 were evaluated as having excellently completed the training course.

On June 17, at the Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema, the Master's degree awarding ceremony took place for students majoring in "Art - Theatre" of courses K19, 20, 21.

The ceremony is not only an important milestone in the students' learning journey but also an occasion to recognize the maturity of a generation of artists who are actively contributing to the development of professional stage, film and television arts across the country.

This year's Master of Arts training course "Stage - Cinema - Television" has special significance as most of the students are artists working professionally at public and socialized art units across the country.

Notably, nearly two-thirds of the students are working in Ho Chi Minh City - the most dynamic art center in the country - showing the North-South connection in the journey of improving knowledge, exchanging expertise, and developing modern theatrical identity.

Among the artists who completed the course are famous names: People's Artist Trinh Kim Chi, Ho Ngoc Trinh, Meritorious Artist Hanh Thuy, author Nguyen Thu Phuong, director Huu Tien, Minh Cao, Thanh Hiep (General Director of the Mai Vang Award Ceremony of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper), Ho Hong Tham, Nguyen Thanh Tay, comedian Hoang Map, stage voice lecturer Tuyet Van (wife of Meritorious Artist Cong Ninh), film producer Kieu Nhi, photography lecturer Doan Nhat Cuong, physical trainer Thu Hang, Doan Huyen, author Phuong Vy...

This year's list of graduation theses shows a deep interest in folk art and traditional artistic values.

Many topics focus on researching Cheo, Cai Luong, and the performing arts of veteran artists - proving that the orientation of preserving and promoting national identity is still the main stream in the artistic thinking of the current generation of artists.

Some outstanding topics include: "The performing art of People's Artist Bach Tuyet in two reformed plays Monologue at Night and Life of Miss Luu" (Nguyen Thanh Tay); "The art of character building in the script of People's Artist Vien Chau" (Tang Hoang Thuan - Thanh Hiep); "The character Duong Van Nga on the reformed stage" (Ho Thi Ngoc Trinh); "Absorbing the humorous elements of traditional Cheo in short Cheo plays of the Vietnam Cheo Theatre" (Le Thi Bich); "Inheriting and promoting the traditional Cheo performing art in three Cheo plays with historical themes" (Bui Cam Trang).

In addition, topics of analysis and criticism of contemporary theater also contribute to enriching the research landscape such as: "The directing art of People's Artist Tran Minh Ngoc on the drama stage" (Tran Thi Bao Chau); "Expressive sound in the acting art of drama actors" (Tran Thi Tuyet Van)...

The fact that the students - who are directors, actors, and screenwriters - are directly working on stages from North to South has helped the theses not only stop at theory, but also closely connect with creative practice. The topics are the product of the process of professional accumulation and lively contact with the audience.
