These excerpts are part of a program promoting reformed opera performed by Tran Huu Trang Theater at 4A yard of the Youth Cultural House.

It can be said that all fans of the opera know Tran Huu Trang. He is a big name with about 30 cai luong scripts, including classic scripts in the cai luong village such as Mong Hoa Vuong, Doi Co Luu, To Anh Nguyet, Lan and Diep ...

Tran Huu Trang has the ability to write many genres of reformed opera such as classical opera, social psychology opera, and revolutionary opera. His scripts delve into human lives, vividly reflecting social realities.

Recently, in a meeting with artists from the Southern Central Bureau Base Area, musician Pham Minh Tuan respectfully mentioned composer Tran Huu Trang. He said that composer Tran Huu Trang is a warrior on the cultural front. Tran Huu Trang's works have great influence and timeless value.

As one of the representative artists of the Liberation Art Troupe, Mr. Tran Huu Trang died at work and was left with severe injuries from the bomb's destructive force.

Besides introducing the works and life of composer Tran Huu Trang, the program also has an exchange with artists Thoai Mieu, Tam Tam, Dien Trung, Le Thanh Thao... so that they have the opportunity to share their feelings about Cai Luong with today's youth.

Right after the Cai Luong art promotion, the audience had the opportunity to attend the program Melodies from Poetry, organized by the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association.

The poems set to music introduced on the night of October 20 are part of the book 50 years of poems set to music in Ho Chi Minh City by the Ho Chi Minh City Writers Association.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy said that poetry set to music has a resonance between the poet and the musician, making the poem more accessible to the public. It revives the artistic value of poetry and creates empathy and a deep emotional connection between the artist and the audience.

"The works selected to be performed at today's program will help to recall memories that have become very familiar and hold an important position in the city's cultural and artistic life. They have become an indispensable part of the spiritual culture of many generations," Ms. Thuy emphasized.
