Planting more than 764 hectares of concentrated forest

According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, since the beginning of the year, with favorable weather conditions, units and individuals in the province have carried out concentrated forest planting on over 764 hectares, using about 1.52 million forestry seedlings of various types. At the same time, they have organized care, replanting and protection of newly planted trees and young forests to ensure good growth of the plants.

In addition, implementing the 2024 Tree Planting Festival, up to now, the whole province has planted 154,414 trees of all kinds. Of which, 31,142 are shade trees and 123,200 are scattered trees of all kinds.

Some localities with a large number of planted trees are Vinh Linh district with more than 1,200 shade trees and 22,000 scattered trees; Gio Linh district with more than 1,650 shade trees and 11,200 scattered trees; Trieu Phong district with 700 shade trees and 30,000 scattered trees; Hai Lang district with 1,520 shade trees and 55,000 scattered trees.

In particular, the Departmentof Education and Training has thoroughly grasped and deployed to the entire sector to plant 15,000 new trees of all kinds at headquarters, schools, and locations belonging to the sector in localities across the province.
