Live broadcast of inauguration and groundbreaking ceremony of 250 projects to celebrate 80th National Day

On the morning of August 19, the whole country witnessed an event of special significance, which was the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremony of 250 projects and works across the country with a total investment of up to 1.28 million billion VND.

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), at 9:00 a.m. this morning (August 19), the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies of 250 projects and works will be held simultaneously. The ceremony will be held online from the central point (National Exhibition and Fair Center) to 79 points of 34 provinces and cities and broadcast live on VTV1.

These 250 projects and works have a total investment of 1.28 million billion VND, of which 89 projects and works have been inaugurated; 161 projects and works have started construction. The projects and works contribute over 18% of the country's GDP value in 2025 and over 20% in the following years.

According to Deputy Minister of Construction Le Anh Tuan, among the projects, 129 projects are funded by the State with a total investment of VND478,000 billion (accounting for 37%) and 121 projects and works are funded by other sources with a total investment of VND802,000 billion (accounting for 63%). FDI capital includes 5 projects with a total investment of about VND54,000 billion.

Among the 250 projects, there are 8 important national projects, dozens of group A projects and hundreds of group B and C projects with large scale, ranging from national defense, transport infrastructure, civil-urban, industrial, agricultural , rural, educational, medical to cultural and sports projects. In particular, many typical projects have shortened the progress compared to the plan for many years, showing the determination and outstanding efforts of all levels, sectors, enterprises and construction forces.
