Regarding the new variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, the Chinese CDC said that currently, the Covid-19 epidemic in China is showing a slight upward trend, but the increase has slowed down; synthesizing from many monitoring channels, the possibility of a large-scale outbreak is low.

Common symptoms include fever, dry throat, sore throat and cough. Some patients may also have muscle pain, loss or reduction of smell, taste, nasal congestion, runny nose, diarrhea, conjunctivitis... Elderly people and people with immunodeficiency are at higher risk of severe illness.

Therefore, the above agency recommends that people maintain good personal hygiene, cover their nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing with a tissue or handkerchief; wash their hands regularly, avoid touching their eyes, nose, and mouth; eat a balanced diet, exercise properly, and get enough rest. If you have symptoms such as fever or cough, you should avoid participating in group activities, seek medical attention promptly, and wear a mask throughout the examination.

Regarding hand, foot and mouth disease, the Chinese CDC said that the number of cases will increase in May, with outbreaks occurring earlier in southern provinces than in the north. Hand, foot and mouth disease is an acute infectious disease commonly found in children under 5 years old caused by many types of intestinal viruses. This disease can occur year-round, but peaks from April to July (spring-summer) and from September to November (autumn).

Therefore, this agency recommends that people need to maintain personal hygiene, open the room to ventilate, wash hands regularly; toys and frequently contacted items need to be cleaned and sterilized periodically; baby bottles, nipples, and eating utensils need to be sterilized before and after use; avoid contact with sick children, do not share personal items such as towels, spoons, bowls, etc.

Regarding dengue hemorrhagic fever and thrombocytopenia syndrome, the Chinese CDC said that this is a disease caused by the dengue virus, transmitted mainly through mosquito bites. Symptoms include fever, low platelets and white blood cells, accompanied by fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, headache, muscle pain and diarrhea.

This disease is widely distributed in China, often occurring sporadically, peaking from May to July. It can be transmitted through contact with the blood/secretions of seriously ill patients. Family members, medical staff, and funeral workers can be infected if they do not wear protective gear. Therefore, people need to take measures to avoid mosquito bites, such as using mosquito repellent on the skin according to instructions.

In addition, the Chinese CDC also recommends that people should be on guard against diseases such as measles, monkeypox, and human avian influenza... These are diseases that are showing signs of increasing in many places around the world .
