Quy Nhon Port relic is associated with important historical events in the resistance war against French colonialism. After the Geneva Agreement, Quy Nhon became the gathering place for resistance forces from the South Central and Central Highlands regions to the North. During the period from 1954 to 1955, this place witnessed emotional farewells between those who left and those who stayed.
On May 16, 1955, the last train took cadres, soldiers and people from the South to the North, completing the regrouping mission. In total, more than 20,000 people from Inter-Zone V, including 10,700 people from Binh Dinh, participated in this historic event.

On this occasion, Binh Dinh province will organize a special art program to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the completion of the transfer of 10,700 soldiers and civilians to the North at Quy Nhon Port. The program has the theme: "Going out to keep the unification oath", gathering 250 artists, singers and actors. Among them, there are famous artists and singers such as: People's Artist Thu Hien, singer Trong Tan, Lan Anh and Binh Dinh Traditional Arts Theater.


The specific content of the art program includes 11 performances and a documentary film leading the audience through a historical journey from the Dien Bien Phu victory, the Geneva Agreement signing ceremony, to the sacred moment of separation when Regiment 803 - the last unit left Quy Nhon port to regroup to the North.
The program will include a Bai Choi performance and vivid images of Binh Dinh during the revolutionary period. In addition, the program will feature outstanding songs and performances such as: Ho on the banks of Hien Luong, Shadow of the Kơ Nia tree, Love song, Song of dedication to Uncle Ho, Song of unification; Continuing the story of peace ...



Quy Nhon Port relic was ranked as a provincial relic by the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province at the end of 2007, with the name: Quy Nhon Port - The point of 300 days of moving troops to the North.

On this occasion, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism decided to rank the Quy Nhon Port relic - the 300-day point of troop movement to the North as a national relic.
