University of Natural Sciences updates the floor score for Method 3 and two majors: microchip design and semiconductor technology

On July 25, the University of Science, Ho Chi Minh City National University announced that it has just updated the quality assurance threshold (floor score) based on the 2025 Competency Assessment Exam (Method 3), the quality assurance threshold of the two majors of microchip design and semiconductor technology.

Accordingly, the University of Natural Sciences updates the quality assurance threshold for the method based on the 2025 Competency Assessment Exam (Method 3) as follows:

For quality assurance threshold in microchip design industry, semiconductor technology industry:

For Method 2 (method based on the results of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam), the quality assurance threshold of candidates when registering for admission must satisfy all the following conditions:

Firstly, the candidate's admission subject combination must include Mathematics, and at least one of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, or Informatics.

Second, candidates in the group of 25% of candidates with the highest combined subject scores nationwide, in 2025, the minimum combined subject score is equivalent to 20.1 points of Combination A01 according to Official Dispatch 4222/BGDĐT-GDĐH dated July 21, 2025 on comparing the score distribution of some combined high school exam scores in 2025, high school study scores.

Third, candidates in the group of 20% of candidates with the highest Math scores nationwide according to data published annually by the Ministry of Education and Training , in 2025 the minimum Math score is 6.5 points.

For Method 3 (method based on the 2025 competency assessment exam), in addition to the general requirements in Clause 1 of Notice No. 09/TB-HDTS DHCQ dated July 23, 2025, the quality assurance threshold of candidates when registering must satisfy the following conditions:

Firstly, candidates must have an average Math score of 8.0 or higher in grades 10, 11, and 12 on a 10-point scale.

Second, candidates who achieve the competency assessment score when converted to high school scores in 2025 correspond to the group of 25% of candidates with the admission subject combination score in the percentile table of the Ministry of Education and Training (corresponding to 20.1 points of Combination A01).
