Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports opens new school year 2023

In his opening speech, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Principal of Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports, said that in the 2022-2023 school year, the school continued to implement the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels; Resolution No. 29 of the Central Committee on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training, meeting the requirements of industrialization and modernization in the context of a socialist-oriented market economy and international integration.

At the same time, thanks to continuing to implement the basic policies and orientations of the school year "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation", right from the first days of the school year, the whole school has focused on strongly implementing the assigned tasks.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Phuc emphasized that the school's training quality is increasingly improved. The training program is focused on reviewing and adjusting to meet social needs.

In the 2022-2023 school year, the school held a graduation ceremony and awarded degrees to 11 PhD students, 85 master's students, 267 bachelor's students and more than 13,000 National Defense and SecurityEducation certificates. According to a survey, 87.9% of students after the first year of graduation had jobs in their field.

Along with that, in the training of athletes, the school has successfully completed the task of training and competing in domestic and international tournaments. Especially at the recent 32nd SEA Games, Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports had 122 students, trainees and athletes participating in 25 sports , contributing significantly to the overall achievements of the Vietnam Sports Delegation with 91 medals of all kinds. Of which, there were 61 gold medals, 18 silver medals and 12 bronze medals, breaking 9 SEA Games records.

Regarding research work, the school has completed 1 ministerial-level topic, 1 TCVN standard, 1 ministerial-level environmental task, 52 grassroots-level topics and is actively implementing 4 ministerial-level topics, 1 TCVN standard, 64 grassroots-level topics to ensure progress.

In the 2023-2024 school year, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Phuc said that the school is honored to welcome more than 600 new full-time students. The school is committed to making students the center of all school activities. Mobilizing all resources for students is considered the school's slogan, which is clearly shown in the new Training Regulations.

Instead of the previous training program, Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports will apply a new program for K59 students. The program has been adjusted to meet social needs. This is a good opportunity for teachers to equip students with the skills that society needs in a developing sports industry.

Student affairs continue to be the school's key work in the new school year. Accordingly, activities focus on specific criteria such as students attending class on time, limiting the number of students skipping class, limiting the number of students going to game shops; increasing the form of students self-studying, working in groups, students teaching students, students participating in topics and projects.

Periodically, the management teacher will send notices and call students' families directly to inform them of their learning and training results.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Doan Van Viet affirmed that Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports, with nearly 65 years of establishment and development, has made great contributions to the training and development of the country's sports. The school is the leading training, coaching and scientific research place in the field of physical education and sports in Vietnam, contributing to improving Vietnam's sports achievements in the international arena.

Last school year, in an atmosphere of determined competition, teachers and students of Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports achieved encouraging results in staff training, scientific research, training of young talented athletes, student management, and many other fields.

In particular, at the recent 32nd SEA Games and Asian Games, many students and athletes of the school participated in the competition, contributing significantly to the overall achievements of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation.

“These results demonstrate the serious working spirit, efforts, and continuous striving of all cadres, Party members, civil servants, students, and athletes of the school,” Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet acknowledged on behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

According to the Deputy Minister, the development of society has posed difficulties and challenges, requiring each cadre, teacher, and employee to have strong political will, high professional capacity, and dedication to their profession.

Each student must practice moral qualities, promote initiative and creativity to improve the quality of learning.

In the joyful atmosphere of the new school year, Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet requested that each cadre, teacher and student of the school must always strive in their assigned work and responsibilities; together with the school's leadership, successfully carry out key tasks in education and training, creating new qualitative development for Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports.

Specifically, the school must continue to build solidarity and consensus among staff, teachers, and employees; effectively implement the Party and State's policies in the field of education and training; closely follow the goals, requirements, and development orientations of the industry.

Along with that, Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports must constantly improve the quality of training, strongly innovate the program, content, teaching and learning methods associated with the needs of society. In particular, training by industry needs to combine the learning of basic theoretical knowledge with knowledge and practical working capacity.

The Deputy Minister also requested that the school need to innovate its enrollment work, proactively promote and introduce the school's activities on mass media, to attract more public attention to the school.

With the tradition of the school honored to be visited by President Ho Chi Minh more than 63 years ago, the Deputy Minister believes that the Party Committee, School Council, and School Board will focus on directing and excellently completing the tasks of the new school year; competing to achieve achievements to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the school's founding and the 63rd anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to the school.

Through that, Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports continues to effectively serve the cause of human development, cultural development, sports and tourism for the sustainable development of the country.
