Right from the first shots, both players started cautiously, creating a tense match with many high-speed exchanges. The turning point came in the 5th game when Medvedev took advantage of his opponent's small mistake to gain a valuable break.

Despite his best efforts to regain the break with many consecutive pressure situations, De Minaur was still unable to penetrate the Russian's tenacious defense. Medvedev maintained his solid serve and closed the first set with a score of 6-4.

In the second set, De Minaur increased the speed, constantly moving along the court to put pressure. However, Medvedev showed composure and precision in key moments. He earned another important break to continue winning 6-4, securing a 2-0 victory.
