Exciting "wave festival" on My An beach

VHO - With beautiful surfing strokes, skillful techniques and a passionate atmosphere on My An beach, the 2025 Da Nang surfing tournament brought a feast for sea sports lovers.

On December 1, the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches announced that the unit had just successfully organized the Da Nang Surfing Competition 2025 at My An beach (Ngu Hanh Son ward).

More than 60 athletes from many provinces, cities and international tourists participated in the competition.

With the theme "Festival of Waves", the 3rd Da Nang Surfing Tournament 2025 - DaNang Surfing Open took place enthusiastically, attracting a large number of domestic and international athletes to participate. This is the third consecutive year that the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches has organized this unique sea sports playground.

Although it is an amateur tournament, DaNang Surfing Open 2025 still attracts more than 60 athletes from many provinces, cities and international tourists from the US, Russia, Germany, South Africa, China...

The surfers competed in a knockout format, creating an exciting competitive atmosphere. The technical, emotional glides and the free-spirited style typical of this sport brought the audience many satisfying moments.

The spontaneous yet technical and skillful surfs, combined with the "cool" style of the surfers, have brought about "explosive" moments.

In the end, athlete Kale Alexander Hanby (Russian nationality) won the first prize; second prize went to Ken (USA) and third prize went to Brad Roode (Australia). The organizing committee also awarded a series of interesting secondary prizes such as “Wave of the Day” - the most beautiful surf; “Wipeout of the Day” - the most impressive fall; “Wave Warrior” - surfing warrior for both male and female athletes.

According to the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches, the tournament aims to build a larger-scale annual event, attracting more high-level athletes from home and abroad.

This is also an activity to enrich the chain of cultural - sports - tourism events of the coastal city, increasing its attraction to tourists in the coming years.
