Having just gone through a long journey and only had a short time to eat and rest, this afternoon's training session was mainly for relaxation, helping the players warm up, regain their enthusiasm and get used to the weather, the field and the training environment in Bangkok.
This is considered an important initial step before the team enters more in-depth tactical training sessions.
Before the training session, captain Khuat Van Khang shared with the media. The midfielder born in 2003 affirmed that U22 Vietnam is maintaining its determination and spirit towards the highest goal. “The initial 28 players are all worthy to participate. However, the tournament only allows 23 players to be registered. Those selected will have to make every effort to meet the expectations of the coach and the fans of the country,” Van Khang said.
Van Khang also said that the whole team is focusing on improving coordination, increasing the intensity of pressing and especially the efficiency in finishing. Recalling the experience at the SEA Games two years ago, the captain of the U22 Vietnam team said: “In the previous SEA Games, the whole team did not have the desired results.

This time, my teammates and I are more determined to bring the best results to Vietnamese football." Experience from previous failures is considered a great motivation to help the whole team stay focused and eager to perform.
Talking about wearing the captain's armband, Van Khang affirmed that this is not pressure but a source of inspiration to motivate himself. He shared: "I see it as a responsibility to try harder, support and lift the team's spirit towards the common goal."
Van Khang's courage and maturity are contributing to creating great confidence within the team.

Evaluating the opening match against the U22 Laos team, Van Khang said that the opponent is a team with a good foundation, possessing many players who have played for the national team.
“The match will be difficult to predict. The U22 Vietnam team will try their best to win,” the captain emphasized. The U22 Laos team has been assessed to have made rapid progress in recent times, so Van Khang’s caution is considered reasonable.
According to the schedule, the U22 Vietnam team will start the SEA Games 33 campaign with the opening match against the U22 Laos team on December 3 at Rajamangala Stadium. This is the stadium with the largest capacity in Thailand, promising a vibrant atmosphere and a worthy challenge for coach Kim Sang-sik and his team.

With a high level of concentration, careful preparation and determination to regain their position in the regional arena, the U22 Vietnam team is looking forward to the opening match with confidence and readiness to fight.
Fans expect coach Kim Sang-sik and his students to have a smooth start, creating momentum for an explosive SEA Games 33 campaign.
