TECHFEST Vietnam 2025: Awakening the spirit of entrepreneurship among the people in the open space of Hoan Kiem Lake

VHO - TECHFEST Vietnam 2025, organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology in collaboration with the Hanoi People's Committee, will take place from December 12 to 14 at Hoan Kiem Lake walking street. This year's TECHFEST will be held in an open space, helping people, businesses, investors and startups easily connect and seek cooperation opportunities.

At the press conference held this afternoon, December 3, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hoang Minh said that TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 will completely transform from the organization model in the hall to an open urban space on the Hoan Kiem Lake walking street.

With this organizational innovation, people, businesses and young people have direct access to new technologies, innovative business models and startup support services.

According to Director of the Department of Startups and Technology Enterprises (Ministry of Science and Technology) Pham Hong Quat, TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 will have activities spread across open locations around Hoan Kiem Lake such as cafes, restaurants, and community areas.

This will be “open” in space, open in interaction, open in technological experience and open in participants. It is also a way for all members of society to access and participate.

Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Hoang Minh said that TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 will completely transform from the organization model in the hall to an open urban space.

This not only helps people see more clearly the application of technology in production, business and life, but also inspires the spirit of national entrepreneurship.

According to Mr. Hoang Minh, TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 takes place at a particularly meaningful time when the whole country is preparing to summarize a year of implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW. In which, innovative startups are an important content in the development orientation of the new period.

“This year, TECHFEST focuses on affirming the role of state management through announcing new policies, updating ecosystem data and strongly promoting the public-private partnership model.

A series of highly specialized activities such as connecting investment deals and solving market problems are also being enhanced, along with the message about the "One Person Business" model spreading in the startup community.

In particular, this year's TECHFEST will also promote culture: startup culture," said Deputy Minister Hoang Minh.

TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 has the theme "Creative startups for all people - New growth drivers", reflecting the orientation of making innovation an open activity, associated with all social classes.

The event is expected to continue to arouse the spirit of entrepreneurship among the people, promoting innovation to become a new growth driver for Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general in the new development period.

TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 is expected to attract more than 60,000 direct and online participants, from corporations, startups, investment funds, support organizations, technology incubators, research institutes, universities, along with representatives of typical businesses, corporations, scientists, women, youth, seniors starting a business and delegates from the domestic and 6 international innovation startup ecosystems, including: Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, Central Asia, Middle East, North America, Europe.

Along with the Opening Ceremony and the National Policy Forum, at TECHFEST Vietnam 2025 there will be more than 10 international seminars, professional talks, technology demonstrations and experiences, and more than 20 events promoting investment connections and business cooperation between domestic and international partners.

The final round of the National Innovative Startup Talent Search Competition 2025 aims to find, support and honor outstanding innovative startups of Vietnamese people at home and abroad. Pioneers in applying science, technology and innovation to solve challenges of businesses and society.

The 2025 Finals will gather the Top 10 best teams nationwide, selected from hundreds of applications through rigorous evaluation rounds and fierce competition. In this most important round, each team will bring a groundbreaking and inspiring presentation, demonstrating their vision, business model and practical technology solutions.

TECHFEST Vietnam 2025's innovative startup products and services exhibition with 4 areas, brings together all typical representatives of the Vietnamese innovative startup ecosystem, including:

Zone I: Startup & Scale-up Zone, includes startups, initial businesses, institutes, schools, startups that have revenue and are growing and expanding their markets.

Businesses developing on deep technology platforms or businesses creating social impact. Incubator of project supply for the national, local and private investment fund system. Demonstrating the ability to apply deep technology to life: healthcare, education, environment, smart agriculture, smart manufacturing, AI, data, ...
