Tay Ninh strives to be in the Top 10 nationwide in terms of innovation index

In the 2026 plan, Tay Ninh province aims to maintain and improve scores in all pillars, striving to put Tay Ninh in the top 10 localities nationwide in terms of innovation index.

The People's Committee of Tay Ninh province has just issued a Plan to maintain and improve the Innovation Index (PII) in 2026 to continue promoting the achieved results and overcome shortcomings and limitations in 2025.

In 2025, Tay Ninh province's PII Index will reach 45.71 points, ranking 11th in the country, of which two pillars are in the leading group including infrastructure (ranked 3rd) and knowledge, innovation and technology products (ranked 9th).

In the 2026 plan, Tay Ninh province aims to maintain and improve scores in all pillars, striving to put Tay Ninh in the top 10 localities nationwide in terms of innovation index.

Tay Ninh province identifies raising awareness and responsibility of all levels and sectors as a continuous task, while synchronously implementing solutions to promote science, technology and innovation associated with socio-economic development.

Regarding the institutional pillar, Tay Ninh province focuses on perfecting policies to support businesses in improving productivity, quality and technological innovation; improving the business environment; shortening the time to process administrative procedures, especially related to business registration and investment.

In the human resources and research pillar, Tay Ninh province strengthens policies to attract science and technology human resources, promotes vocational education activities, and fosters research capacity for students and teachers.

In the field of infrastructure, Tay Ninh continues to prioritize investment in transport infrastructure, digital infrastructure and telecommunications infrastructure, while improving the efficiency of environmental management and air quality.

Regarding the market development pillar, Tay Ninh province promotes appropriate credit programs for small and medium enterprises, encourages enterprises to participate in science and technology activities and high-quality services.

In the pillar of enterprise development, Tay Ninh province focuses on improving labor quality through training in digital skills, startups and innovation; promoting research cooperation between enterprises and science and technology organizations; and encouraging enterprises to participate in technological innovation programs.

With the pillar of knowledge and technology products, Tay Ninh increases support for intellectual property protection, develops OCOP products, promotes science and technology enterprises and creative startups.

Tay Ninh province also proposed solutions to improve poverty reduction efficiency, improve the human development index, promote labor productivity growth and sustainable socio-economic development.

Departments, branches and localities are assigned specific tasks according to the appendix issued with the plan, and are responsible for the progress and results of implementation.

The implementation of the Plan to improve the PII index by 2026 is expected to create a driving force to promote innovation throughout the province, contributing to the completion of socio-economic development goals and improving the competitiveness of Tay Ninh in the coming time.
