On November 18, General Secretary To Lam met with representatives of teachers and education managers on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20.

At the meeting, General Secretary To Lam raised three major issues for the education sector, including prioritizing human resource development, popularizing digital transformation knowledge, and developing the teaching staff in both quantity and quality.

On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam also awarded the Third Class Labor Medal to the University of Economics - Vietnam National University, Hanoi for its contributions to training, scientific research and technology transfer, contributing to the cause of national construction. This is also the year to celebrate 50 years of tradition and development of the school.

At the ceremony, General Secretary To Lam shared: “For Hanoi National University, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, I would like to congratulate the achievements that teachers and scientists have achieved over the years, contributing to training high-quality human resources, nurturing talents for the country, and bringing the Vietnamese higher education brand to the region and the world.”

The General Secretary expressed his hope that teachers and Hanoi National University will continue to promote their achievements and maintain their mission as a cradle for training talented people and talented scientists.

The University will pioneer and lead the higher education system in international integration, striving to become the leading scientific research center of the country, moving towards the top in the region and internationally, a cooperation destination for large domestic and foreign enterprises, and an incubator for future science and technology enterprises.

During its formation and development, the University of Economics - Vietnam National University, Hanoi has continuously improved the quality of training, scientific research and other services with the aim of becoming a research-oriented university, training high-quality human resources in the fields of economics, management and business administration; researching and transferring research results to the Government, organizations, businesses and society.

The University of Economics is also one of the pioneering higher education institutions in developing high-quality training programs, cooperating with prestigious universities in the United States.

Typical international training programs include: Bachelor of Business Administration (BSBA) program awarded by Troy University; Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA); Master of Business Administration (MBA) program awarded by St. Francis University. The University of Economics has also achieved many outstanding achievements in prestigious international rankings, affirming its increasingly high position and prestige in the field of economic education and research.

In particular, in 2024, the school made its mark when the field of Economics and Econometrics of Hanoi National University was ranked in the 451-500 group in the world for the first time according to QS World University Rankings by Subject. This is a testament to the school's continuous efforts in improving the quality of training and research, meeting international standards.

The school has been implementing many research projects/schemes with countries in the region and around the world with the participation of leading research experts in many fields.
