Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education has a new principal

(NLDO) - The Ministry of Education and Training recognized that the principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education has ended the 3-year period in which the school did not have a principal.

On January 24, Minister Nguyen Kim Son signed a decision to recognize Associate Professor, Dr. Le Hieu Giang as the principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education for the 2020-2025 period.

With this decision, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education enters a new, stable phase with a full leadership apparatus including 3 members of the board of directors and the chairman of the school council.

Associate Professor, Dr. Le Hieu Giang is the Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education.

Associate Professor, Dr. Le Hieu Giang was born in 1972, is a former student of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, graduated with a PhD in 2003 from Czech Technical University in Prague (Czech Republic). After that, he continued to work and contribute to Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education for more than two decades. He was appointed Associate Professor in 2012 at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education.

During his time working at the School, he has held the following positions: Deputy Head of Science Management - International Relations - Postgraduate; Deputy Head of Mechanical Engineering Department; Deputy Head of Training Department; Vice Principal and Head of Mechanical Engineering Department; Vice Principal and Head of Information Technology Department.

He was assigned by the School Board to take charge of the school twice, the first time in June 2022 and the second time from November 2022 to the end of October 2023. Before officially taking up the position of Principal, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Hieu Giang was assigned the position of Acting Principal from November 1, 2023 to October 31, 2024, then continued to be assigned the position of Acting Principal from October 2024 until his appointment. This took place in the context that since May 2021, when the previous Principal retired, the school had not had a Principal.
