Hanoi schools open to welcome people to watch the parade and rest

The Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said he will direct schools in areas where parades and processions pass through to open their doors so people can rest and use personal hygiene if needed.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has issued an official dispatch requesting schools and educational institutions in wards (in the old districts of Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, Dong Da, Hai Ba Trung, Cau Giay, Tay Ho, Nam Tu Liem, Bac Tu Liem, Hoang Mai, Thanh Xuan, Long Bien, Ha Dong) to let students take a day off on days of practice, preliminary rehearsal, general rehearsal of the anniversary ceremony, military parade, and march.

For schools and educational institutions in other wards and communes, based on actual conditions, the school principal shall consider and decide on allowing students to take time off from school during the time of joint training, preliminary rehearsal, general rehearsal of the anniversary ceremony, military parade, and march.

Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong also said that he will direct schools in areas where parades and processions pass through to open their doors so that people and tourists have a place to stop, rest, and use personal hygiene, etc., creating the most favorable conditions on this special occasion, ensuring respect and hospitality.

At this time, students in grades 1, 9, and 10 return to school 2 weeks before the opening day (September 5) to get acquainted with the school and study rules like first-grade students.

Private schools have also allowed students to return to school since early August. Therefore, allowing students to stay home from school is to create favorable traffic conditions for the above important activities.

As Thanh Nien reported, after many months of training, tonight, August 21, the armed forces, army and police will practice together for the first time at Ba Dinh Square.

According to the plan, the rehearsal for the parade will take place from around 8 p.m. The military and police will move from their bases to Hanoi's inner city to prepare.

After that, the forces will have another general training session on August 24 and two preliminary and state-level rehearsals before the parade on September 2.
