Le Quy Don Primary School (Luu Huu Phuoc Street, Hanoi ) announced early this morning that all students will be off school. The school will organize make-up classes for students on Saturday, October 11.

Previously, on the evening of August 7, the School announced that it would organize a combination of in-person and online learning for October 8.

However, the school said that due to the complicated weather, early this morning, Hanoi had heavy rain in many places, many roads were still flooded, the school has a new announcement to ensure the safety of students. The school and homeroom teachers will proactively notify parents of the school closure from 5:30 to 6:00 every day.

Le Quy Don Secondary School (Nguyen Van Huyen Street) said that due to the actual weather and traffic situation, the school will continue to let students study online on October 8.

Giang Vo 2 Secondary School (Tran Huy Lieu Street) continues to let students study online today due to the complicated weather and many roads are still flooded. In its announcement, the school said that students who have difficulty studying online will be supplemented with knowledge by the school's teachers in a suitable form.

Based on the actual situation, many schools such as Phan Dinh Phung High School , Pham Hong Thai High School, Xuan Phuong High School, Tay Mo Middle School ,... also decided to continue organizing online teaching for all students on October 8.

Some schools have decided to welcome children back and organize normal teaching, but to ensure the safety of students and the convenience of parents, families can flexibly choose the most suitable plan for the flooding situation in their living area.

In addition, some schools that are not flooded, ensuring traffic safety and learning conditions have announced that students will return to school from today, Wednesday, October 8, such as: Giang Vo Secondary School , Trang An Primary School (Nha Chung Street), Ngo Thi Nham Primary School (Hoa Ma Street),...

These schools said that for students in areas at risk of heavy rain, flooding or unable to get to school, parents will contact their homeroom teachers for support with their children's learning.

As of the afternoon of October 7, Hanoi city recorded more than 30 schools with flooded schoolyards and classrooms due to the impact of storm No. 11.

Educational institutions have proactively changed teaching and learning status, synchronously deployed storm prevention and control measures, ensuring safety for students and teachers. In the face of prolonged heavy rain causing flooding on many roads, most schools promptly notified students and parents to temporarily stop going to school and switch to online learning.

At the same time, schools assigned staff to be on duty at school, implemented plans to prevent prolonged heavy rain according to pre-prepared plans, proactively cleaned classrooms, prevented epidemics, and were ready to welcome students back to school as soon as conditions allowed.
