This is one of the regulations in the code of conduct of Truc Thuan Secondary School (Truc Ninh district, Nam Dinh province) applied to all students of the school.
Accordingly, this school has issued rules of conduct requiring students to comply with and strictly implement them towards teachers, school staff and visitors to the school;
Specifically, when greeting, addressing, and introducing teachers, staff in the school; visitors, and working with the school, it is necessary to ensure respect, politeness, brevity, clarity, and courtesy. Students know how to nod when greeting and asking questions. There must be no actions, gestures, or words that lack ethical standards or are impolite to teachers, staff, and elders.
The school also requires students to ensure order of seniority when asking and answering questions, questions and answers are concise, clear, polite, and appropriate to the pedagogical environment.
Questions and answers must have a subject and show politeness: "Hello teacher", "Hello teacher", "Dear teacher", "Dear teacher", "Dear uncle" (according to seniority and age-appropriate)...
When disturbing teachers and school staff, students must ensure a civilized, tactful, sincere attitude, and know how to apologize at the right time when making mistakes. The school also instructs students to say: "Sir, please let me bother you for a moment..."; "Sir, please let me bother you for a moment"... with an attitude of needing help from teachers...
According to school regulations, when making a mistake, students should choose the right time to apologize: avoid crowded times or during work hours or class hours. The apology must show sincerity, true recognition of the mistake and the desire to correct it: “I’m sorry, teacher! I know I was wrong…”.
Students also need to know how to behave when sharing joys and sorrows with teachers, ensuring sincerity, simplicity, openness, intimacy, and no formality.
The school also clearly stipulates the code of conduct for students towards friends, the way of addressing each other is intimate, open, pure, not fussy, or formal. Do not call each other by words reserved for respectful people such as Mr., Mrs., Father, Mother... Do not call each other by words indicating marital relationships such as "husband", "wife",...
In addition, students should not call each other names that are associated with the names of their parents, grandparents, or physical defects or personality traits of others. Do not call each other by movie or gangster terms (big brother, senior sister, etc.).
When visiting and helping friends, be sincere and tactful, do not hide each other's shortcomings, and do not shun or look down on sick, disabled or disadvantaged people.
When congratulating, you need to be cheerful, friendly, not fussy, not embarrassing. When conversing, talking, and exchanging with friends, you need to be sincere, straightforward, open, gentle, not arguing, criticizing, belittling, insulting, gesticulating, swearing, spitting, etc. Know how to listen actively and object constructively when discussing and debating.
In relationships with the opposite sex, you need to be respectful, polite, and pure, not flirtatious, excessively gesticulating, or have offensive, rude, teasing, or provocative actions or words...
Conduct in learning must be serious, honest and not violate testing and examination regulations.
The school's rules also stipulate that during the time entering and sitting in class, students must be serious and respectful of teachers and classmates:
- Implement well the classroom rules that have been established by the class.
- When the teacher entered the classroom, the whole class stood up and solemnly greeted the teacher.
- Do not make gestures such as: scratching your head, scratching your ears, picking your nose, turning sideways, looking up, speaking carelessly, interrupting, leaning over, nodding your head, playing with pens, shooting paper, writing or drawing on the table or wall.
Do not use personal communication devices such as: music players, phones...
Do not bring food or drinks into the classroom as it is unsanitary and affects others.
When discussing and discussing lecture content, ensure an open-minded attitude, respect other people's opinions, and do not harshly criticize or mock opinions that are different from your own.
Behave before the end of class to ensure respect for teachers:
- Don't rush to close your books, leave your seat, turn off the lights, electric fan, close the door to go out or go home.
- The whole class must stand up and greet the teacher when class is over.
- Ensure order, no pushing, climbing on tables and chairs, keep general hygiene.
The principal of Truc Thuan Secondary School also requested that homeroom teachers and the Youth Union be responsible for disseminating and thoroughly informing all students to strictly implement this rule. At the same time, all cadres, teachers and employees need to know and coordinate with homeroom teachers and the school's Youth Union to remind students to implement it.
