Trung Vuong School organizes the 2025 HKIMO National Round of the International Mathematical Olympiad

This morning, April 27, Trung Vuong School hosted the 2025 HKIMO National Round of the International Mathematical Olympiad. This is the only school in the province selected as a direct testing site for all candidates in Quang Tri to participate simultaneously, along with dozens of other testing sites across the country.

This year, in the HKIMO National Round of the International Mathematical Olympiad, Quang Tri province has nearly 150 candidates from grades 1 to 8 from all over the province participating. These are students who have excellently passed the qualifying round to be present at this National Round. Participating in the exam, candidates must go through a set of exam questions with a structure including logical thinking, arithmetic, algebra, number theory, geometry, and combinations with a bilingual multiple-choice test format including English and Vietnamese.

Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Trung Vuong School Hoang Thi Huong said that the HKIMO International Mathematical Olympiad is organized by the Hong Kong Olympic ChampionEducation Center. This is an annual competition to create a useful playground for all students who love Mathematics. Students who win gold medals in the international round of 2 out of 3 HKIMO competitions will be invited to participate in the final round of the WIMO World Mathematical Olympiad.

To be selected as the sole host of the National Round of the HKIMO International Mathematical Olympiad in 2025, the school must meet the requirements that the examination council has at least 100 qualified candidates who have registered for the National Round of the exam; have adequate facilities, organizational staff and a team of qualified teachers according to the requirements set forth and surveyed by the organizing committee.
