The tournament is organized by the Sports Department - Vietnam Television, the Vietnam Sports Department (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), Usports Mass Sports Development Company and related units.
According to the Organizing Committee, the tournament attracted more than 700 athletes to compete - an important milestone in bringing pickleball into the system of large-scale sporting events in Vietnam. The list of participating athletes includes many prominent faces such as Ly Hoang Nam, Truong Vinh Hien, Do Minh Quan, Sophia Phuong Anh, Jolie Thien Lam...
The tournament will take place from November 28 to 30 at a complex of 23 American-standard courts in the US Pickleball cluster, Hong Ha ward ( Hanoi ). All matches will be broadcast live on VTV2 channel and VTVgo application - marking the first time Pickleball has been covered by national television in Vietnam.
A professional technology highlight of the tournament is the application of MK Vision's IRS system with 10 AI cameras installed at key positions on the field, helping referees have multiple viewing angles and review the ball, to ensure accuracy and fairness in the tournament.
The total prize of the tournament is up to more than 1 billion VND, for the champions, second place, third place and special individual prizes. One of the outstanding staged prizes is the title of “Miss Pickleball VTV Cup 2025” to honor the beauty, talent and role of female athletes in the pickleball community in particular and sports in general.
In addition to the goal of competition and movement development, the tournament also carries a community mission when at the announcement ceremony, the Organizing Committee launched a fundraising campaign to support the people of the South Central region affected by historic floods. The fundraising activity took place from November 24 to 30, calling on athletes, spectators and accompanying units to join hands for the community.
Mr. Do Duc Hoang - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television and Head of the Organizing Committee - said: "In recent times, VTV has organized many sports tournaments - from International Women's Volleyball, Marathon, Pickleball to Buffalo Fighting Festival... The important thing is that we are moving closer to folk and mass sports, encouraging sports movements for communities across the country."
